To improve these initiatives further I would recommend that ‘This girl can’ continues to promote and advertise all the different types of opportunities provided for women to participate in the sports provided. I would also like to suggest that the introduction of sports to the young should be approached and changed, perhaps introduce mum and daughter or group exercises to bring women closer together and get the young more involved from an early age into the fun aspect of sports with team building, confidence building and improvement of social skills rather than the schooling competitive side of sport which can be intimidating and rather off putting for females. However if mums and daughters attend there may be the barriers of timing, costs and the conflicts or other female bodies.
